Drop it Like a Squat

Coming up next?the Alchemy 365 Squat Series!

by Tyler Quinn

Who:
Anybody who desires the strength to move mountains, the heart of  William Wallace  and  Beatrix Kiddo  combined, and the fearlessness and persistence of a  puppy trying desperately to jump over a tall obstacle.

What:
The Alchemy Squat Series. For six weeks, athletes will  squat  twice a week in increasingly difficult rep and loading schemes and will literally  walk away stronger and more powerful than ever before. The series will focus primarily on the back and front squat, but will also have elements of explosive plyometric training to go along with it, you know, for the  agility and athleticism.

When:
North Loop: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6PM
Edina: Mondays and Thursdays at 6PM
Uptown: Mondays and Wednesday at 7PM
Northeast: Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30AM
Highland Park: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30AM
LoHi: Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30PM

Why:
Can you handle the truth ? Ok, then here it is: when it comes to absolute strength, squatting is king (or queen). Furthermore, seeing dramatic gains in one?s squat takes more than occasional  dabbling. It takes consistent, intense, fearless and ferocious effort. This squat series will give you strength like you?ve never known before. No, seriously, it will. It will be hard. Each day will  push you to the limit  and take you into the pain cave, the darkness, the light, the end of the line, or whatever you want to call the nebulas mind-space one enters on rep 17 of their third set of 20 heavy back squats.  You will likely not even know what hit youBut emerge on the other side, you will, and a better person, for it, you will be.
