Why I Alchemy: Teo Baylon

by: Teo Baylon

I became an Alchemy Member in the spring of 2017, after attending one of Peter Spitsnogle?s classes for the first time at North Loop. Coach Brock Severson was also in my class and I admired his effortlessly graceful, endless sets of kipping pull-ups during the workout ? needless to say, I was hooked. I had been looking for a fresh and efficient workout that would challenge me both mentally and physically. I wanted a workout that was offered every day of the week, with class times either late morning or early afternoon to fit my schedule. I also found out Alchemy had a Northeast studio and I loved the idea of another location within walking distance of my neighborhood! Alchemy offered it all ? it was like a perfect match and complement to my fitness goals and workout routine. It was an exciting new beginning for me, full of challenges and a lot of potential.

Then, in the fall of 2017 my husband and I found out that our family would be expanding and that I was pregnant with a baby girl! What an exciting and scary spin to our lives, and my fitness journey. I was going to have a constant and reliable workout partner for 9 whole months. I took this life change as yet another fun and exciting challenge ? because life would be too boring if I could have control over everything.

Time went on, my body changed, and belly grew. Some days have been great, and some have been more slow?but I kept coming back to my favorite A20 and occasional AStrong. I even joked with myself that I had a ?weighted belt? for an extra challenge to my workouts. Who wouldn?t want that?!

I?m now less than a month from my due date and I still do most A20s. I love Alchemy and all the support I get from from both Coaches and Members throughout my journey. And I?m looking forward to the next chapter in my life and getting in more fun workouts at Alchemy!

Teo is a Member and all around rockstar at Alchemy North Loop. The best way to put it: she is fierce and she is a force to be reckoned with, all while being the kindest person you?ll ever meet.
